DISNEY THEME PARK ATTRACTIONS: The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure
Does your favorite princess happen to be a little mermaid? Perhaps your favorite villainess tends to be a purple octopus wanting to help poor unfortunate souls? Or perhaps you just love the magic of Disney so much! If you said yes to all three of these questions then you’re bound to fall in love with Disney’s The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure.
The ride originally opened at Paradise Pier in Disneyland and is currently under construction at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. This attraction is a dark ride based on the film The Little Marmaid. I won’t be revealing much of the ride in this article, but if you do have the opportunity I suggest taking a look at DatelineDisneyland’s YouTube video showing a ride-through of this attraction (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qhrdr3yU7QE). My absolute favorite part is when Ariel and Eric look at each other lovingly at 5:37.
The attraction is pretty much the movie reincarnated into a live ride-through with some specific things missing (the entire first part of the film until Part of Your World), the entire segment of Vanessa, and the entire battle scene where Ursula is defeated (in which they added a small print of Ursula in the background screaming and looking rather upset). Nonetheless I am very pleased with Disney’s work with this dark-ride and I await to officially ride this attraction once the Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland is complete (late 2012).
I love that Disney is part of my world.

The entrance is so beautiful. D: On a side note, this ride is by far one of my favorites.
